Chevron Chair Re-Do

The people who lived in our home before us left  behind 2 old chairs - both have great bones, but are simply not attractive AT ALL. So I gave them a little facelift:

First I unscrewed the pad so I could spray paint the wood. I made the mistake of not sanding the chairs first, I think the primer and paint would have adhered better after sanding…but sometimes I don't feel like doing the tedious work…

The chair pads were obviously old and had hardly any cushion left, so I added some batting to give it some extra softness. A staple gun is a re-upholsterer's best friend….make sure to get those corners tight!

Of course you need to pick a cute fabric to make your chair look brand new. Make sure if your fabric has a pattern like chevron that you place square it up with the pad so the finished product doesn't look crooked.
